Paradise makes another appearance in the Team of the Week with a fantastic
four-game week for the Bearcats. Just a freshman, Paradise averaged 24.5
points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2 assists over the four victories.
Rita Willis
Willis led the Blazers to three wins over Haverford, Trinity (D.C.), and
Chatham last week with 17.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3.6 steals
per game.
Siobhan Zerilla
Zerilla averaged a double-double for the defending national champions
with 15 points and 13 rebounds in Wilmington’s big wins against
Capital and Baldwin-Wallace
Eileen Flaherty
Flaherty scored 51 of Bowdoin’s 114 points in two key road wins
for the Polar Bears at Ithaca and Colby. The sophomore averaged eight
rebounds and three steals per game connecting at a 73 percent clip from
the field.
Denee McKay
A freshman, McKay led LeTourneau with 26.6 points and 9 rebounds per game
and was crucial in snapping an 11-game losing streak with a win over University
of the Ozarks.
Scott Spinner
Spinner was teriffic in two wins for the Gorloks last week, averaging
22 points and six rebounds in wins over Principia and Fontbonne.
James Mooney
Mooney was all over the stat sheets for the Dolphins. Shooting 12 for
26 from beyond the arc, Mooney had 26.5 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists,
4 steals, and 1 block per game in a 1-1 week.
Mark Gossens
The WIAC is one of the most competitive conferences where just about anything
can and does happen, making every win all the more important. Gossens
led UW-Platteville with 12 points and 11 rebounds per game in the Pioneers’
wins over 18th ranked Stout and Eau Claire, pushing the Pioneers to second
place behind Stevens Point.
Russ Churchwell
Churchwell became the all-time leading scorer in SCAC history leading
the Stormy Petrels to two more wins in their current four-game winning
streak. The graduate student, in his last year of eligibility, knocked
down 27.5 points per game while corralling 7.5 rebounds.
Nick Thomas
The IIAC’s leading scorer, Thomas tallied 65 of Dubuque’s
155 points in two games last week, shooting 42% from the field, adding
7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
