Leigh Sulkowski
Sulkowski averaged 27.5 points, seven rebounds, and six steals, as the
Presidents’ split their two games in the Holiday Inn Meadow Lands
Classic. She recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, and seven steals in her
team’s 77-48 win over Penn State-Altoona. Sulkowski scored 35 points
in an overtime losing effort to Otterbein. She was named tournament MVP.
Megan Silva
Silva was named to the All-Classic Team in the R-MC Tip-Off Classic this
past weekend. In two games, she totaled 41 points (20.5 ppg), 12 rebounds
(6.0 rpg), 11 assists (5.5 apg) and five steals (2.5 spg). She shot 60.0%
from the field including 71.4% from behind the arc.
Courtney
Childress
Childress came off the bench to lead the Tigers to the Transylvania Tip-Off
Classic title. She averaged 15 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and two
assists in only 20.5 minutes of action in her team’s wins over Maryville
and Indiana Southeast.
Lindsay Ippel
Ippel averaged 19.5 points and 14.5 rebounds in the first two games of
the season, both team highs. In Millikin's first game of the Coaches vs.
Cancer Tournament against Webster, Ippel put up a double-double of 29
points and 11 rebounds in just 29 minutes of play in the 75-53 win. She
recorded a second double-double (18 rebounds, 10 points) in the 77-56
win over UW-Eau Claire.
Megan Rulon
Rulon averaged 18.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks in her team’s
two games in the Jim Crawley Classic. After leading Division III in blocks
per game last season (4.2), she recorded six in her first game against
the tournament’s host school Frostburg State.
Nick Shattuck Shattuck averaged 25 points on
79.2 percent (19-for-24) shooting from the floor at the Rose City Classic
at Drew this weekend. He also made five of his six three-point attempts
and went 7-for-9 from the charity stripe in the two games. He added 12
rebounds and five steals to his tournament totals. Shattuck scored a game-high
26 points on 10-for-11 shooting in the win over Immaculata.
Justin Cichon
Cichon tallied a career-high 39 points on 14-of-21 shooting as Utica defeated
the host school 90-77 in the championship game of the SUNYIT Tip-Off Tournament.
Cichon was named the tournament's MVP.
Jeff Carpenter Last
year’s GNAC Rookie of the Year totaled 48 points on 21-of-33 shooting
from the field (64%) and added 23 rebounds in Rivier’s two wins
at the Raider Tip-Off Tournament. He was named tournament MVP for his
efforts.
Anthony Fitzgerald Fitzgerald
led the Mustangs to a 3-0 weekend to win the first annual Pride of Maryland
Tournament over Johns Hopkins. Fitzgerald played 122 minutes over three
games due to two overtime wins, including the finals. He was named tournament
MVP averaging 21 points, 17 rebounds, 2.3 assists, shooting 58.7% from
the field.
Tyler Rhoten Rhoten averaged
27 points, six rebounds, and three steals as his team won the Sponaugle
Tournament at Franklin and Marshall. He was a perfect 14-of-14 from the
foul line. Rhoten was named tournament MVP.
