Albright's Shawn Swavely is a first-timer. The junior guard helped lead the Lions to a 3-0 week and has moved into 13th place on the team's all-time scoring list with 1,406 career points. Swavely averaged 23.3 points per game on 52% shooting while adding 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.3 steals.

Chad Fabian shot 18-for-34 from the floor, 13-for-24 from three-point range for Wilkes, including a school-record 10-for-14 against FDU-Madison for a career-high 32 points. The junior added 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

Christopher Newport got 53 points in 52 minutes from forward Brandon Jones. The junior forward shot 17-for-27 from the floor and 4-for-8 from three-point range despite suffering from the flu and being unable to start one of the two road wins. He added 14 rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Where would Mass-Boston have been without Sean Harrington this week? The senior forward scored 31 of the team's 59 points in a loss to Southern Maine, and averaged 30.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in two LEC games. He shot 23-for-37 from the floor (62%) and a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range.

Our four-time Team of the Week member is Anderson's Chaz Smoot. Smoot led the Ravens to a pair of upsets against ranked HCAC foes, scoring a career-high 43 points against Wabash and 32 points against Franklin. The junior center shot 29-for-39 (74%) from the floor, 5-for-7 from three-point range to score 75 points in 65 minutes.

The women's team starts with a first-timer at guard in Gallaudet's Touria Ouahid, whose game-winning shot gave the Bison a win at nationally ranked Salisbury State and first place in the CAC. The junior shot 51% (21-for-41) from the field and 80% (20-for-25) from the line while averaging 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.3 steals in two road wins against ranked opponents.

Lake Forest's Alison Grubbs scored 20 points in consecutive wins, shooting 12-for-23 from the floor, 7-for-12 from three-point range and 9-for-10 from the foul line. The sophomore had nine rebounds, eight assists and six steals.

Meg Hagarty scored 24 points in consecutive games for Catholic, including a win at regionally ranked Western Maryland. The freshman shot 17-for-32 from the floor, adding 18 rebounds and 10-for-13 numbers from the free-throw line.

Kristen Venne, who has been named MAC Commonwealth League player of the week four of the last five weeks, averaged 22.0 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting 55.3% from the field (26-for-47) and 82.4% from the foul line (14-for-17) in three games last week. "Kristen has gotten better and better each year, but this year she is doing things that go beyond the realm of a normal Division III player," said 12th-year Crusader head coach Mark Hribar. She has now scored in double figures 89 times in 91 career games and has eight consecutive double-doubles.

King's College leaned on Joanne Polakoski for an average of 25 points in two games. Polakoski posted a pair of double-doubles when she averaged 25.0 points and 12.5 rebounds. The junior power forward moved into eighth in King's history in scoring with 1,118 points.
