Today, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed, limited edition bobblehead commemorating the Oshkosh Titans’ 2019 Men’s Basketball Division III National Championship. The bobbleheads, which just arrived, are $30 each plus a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order. They’re available in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s online store as well as UW Oshkosh’s University Books & More, while supplies last.
The bobblehead features Clash, the mascot of the Oshkosh Titans, holding up a newspaper that says, “National Champs!” and has a picture of the team celebrating with the National Championship trophy. Clash is standing on a stack of newspapers with the headline, “Oshkosh Basketball Claims 1st National Championship in Program’s 121-Year History!” The bobbleheads, which are the first to feature the Oshkosh mascot, are individually numbered to only 1,000.
On March 16, 2019, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Men’s Basketball claimed the team’s first national championship by defeating Swarthmore by a score of 96-82 in the title game in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The championship marked the 47th overall for the UW Oshkosh athletics department and first since 2014. The defending NCAA Division III and WIAC champion Titans head into the 2019-2020 season ranked second in the country by D3hoops.com and open the season on Saturday at Augustana College in Illinois. Oshkosh’s second year head coach Matt Lewis, who won D3hoops.com Coach of the Year honors, brings back three starters and 12 letter winners from last year's national championship squad,
"Championship teams deserve a commemorative bobblehead and Oshkosh’s first basketball title in program history certainly calls for a bobblehead,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “This is a must-have for any Oshkosh fan, especially since it’s the first bobblehead of Clash!”
