TIFFIN, Ohio—Junior forward Nate Davis (Dayton/Stivers) and junior guard Dane Givner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Harvest Prep) were named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorable mention team, announced today by the league office. The All-OAC accolade comes for the second straight season for both players.

Davis, who received national recognition this season after becoming a YouTube sensation with his creative dunking style, started 22 of the team's 25 games, averaging 11.7 points per game and ranking third with 8.8 rebounds per game. He also stood fourth in the OAC by shooting 52.4 (108-of-206) from the field and led the circuit with 46 blocks. Davis scored in double figures in 16 games and recorded seven double-doubles, including three in the last four games of the season. He had his best game of the season in a 73-62 win over Otterbein University on Feb. 15 when he tallied a season-high 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Davis also received All-OAC honorable mention a season ago.

Givner, who was a second-team All-OAC pick in 2010-11, averaged 14.3 ppg. and 4.7 rpg. and was fourth in the league with 82 assists. A 39.6 (128-of-323) percent shooter, Givner also led the team with 29 steals. He was the only player on the team start all 25 games, scoring in double figures in 19 and leading the team in scoring 10 times. He poured in a career-high 36 points in the season's last game against the University of Mount Union. With 21 points in a Feb. 11 game against Marietta College, Givner became the 28th member of the school's 1,000-point club and will enter his senior season 21st on the all-time list with 1,052 points. Givner was the OAC freshman of the year in 2009-10.

The Student Princes finished the 2011-12 season 7-18 overall and 5-13 in the OAC, narrowly missing the conference tournament. Next season, head coach Anthony Gholson returns 18 players, including seven who started at least five games.
