Spartan Shorts: Junior guard Adrian Johnson (Indianapolis, Ind.), celebrating an evening at Anderson University's O.C. Lewis Gymnasium off the court as part of an alopecia awareness event Feb. 7, had plenty to smile about on the court, too, despite a 93-79 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference loss at the hands of the Ravens. His 15-point evening moved him into ninth on the program's all-time scoring list (1,318 points). Becirevic's play has seen his season points average jump almost two full (10.9-12.7) … Freshman forward/center Cornell Hampton (Griffith, Ind.) joins Becirevic to create a formidable inside combination. He's averaging 13 points, five and a half rebounds and hitting at a 50 percent clip from the field over his last two outings … Senior guard Brody Kirby (Frankfort, Ind.) is showing a propensity for the long ball of late, canning at least one three-pointer in six straight appearances and multiples four times in the run.
