What others say: "Hannah improved and developed each season. What separated Hannah was her poise and execution. She set the bar high regarding standards of excellence. She did what was asked and executed each task with understanding and competence. It is said that greatness is rooted in the small details. Hannah exemplified this, she mastered the little things. She ended her career shooting over 50% from the floor. She was a joy to coach and gave so much to our program on and off the court." -- Ruth Sinn, University of St. Thomas head coach

Career synopsis: There are lots of numbers you can point to that show Hannah Spaulding's dominance during her junior and senior seasons. How many centers can say they led their team in points, rebounds, blocks, field goal percentage and steals? But here's another sign of her dominance. St. Thomas shot 40 percent from three in her senior season. Spaulding didn't take too many threes herself, though she did make half of them (8 for 16). But Spaulding was such a dominant player in the post and good passer that she opened up the floor for her teammates and they took advantage of that space.
Spaulding had to wait her turn in the Tommies' parade of All-American centers, so she spent two years backing up fellow All-Decade honoree Kaitlyn Langer. And when she stepped into the starting lineup, she kept the Tommies' incredible run through the MIAC going. St. Thomas went 70-2 in the MIAC regular season during her four years and had an overall conference winning streak that lasted 77 games, only ending after she graduated.
Hannah Spaulding also continued the run of All-Decade team members who played with their sisters. Hannah played with her eldest sister Mykenzie as a freshman and her youngest sister Allie as a senior.
