What others say: "Sydney transferring to Thomas More was a coach's dream. She had the ability to play anywhere on the court and control the game on both ends. Her competitiveness was at an all-time high in the biggest games, but we saw it every day in practice. Sydney's unselfishness was one of her greatest attributes as she led the country in scoring a couple years and then led the country in assists per game her senior season." -- Jeff Hans, Thomas More University head coach

In their own words: “My time at Thomas More was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Although I had success on the court, my proudest moment was being the first to graduate with a college degree in my family. As I am now a young collegiate coach, I tell our recruits about my transferring experience and how attending TMU changed my life in the most positive way possible. I look back at my time as a college athlete and there are so many memories, friendships, etc. that I will never forget and I can’t thank TMU enough for giving those to me.”

Where are they now: Assistant coach at NAIA St. Thomas (Fla.)

Career synopsis: When Sydney Moss transferred from Division I Florida to Thomas More after her freshman season, people around Thomas More said she could be the next big thing. Moss had been named to the SEC's All-Freshmen team and finished first or second on the Gators in assists, scoring and rebounds. The hype was more than justified.

Moss dominated Division III from the moment she arrived, leading Thomas More on an undefeated run that ended when she suffered a knee injury in the 2014 Elite 8 against Whitman. She followed up that sophomore season in which she won Player of the Year with an even better junior campaign. In 2014-15, Moss was the consensus Player of the Year, the nation's leading scorer in the regular season and set the NCAA Division III Tournament scoring record. It was one of the best individual seasons in college basketball ever. Her senior season was great, too. She led the Saints to an undefeated season and national championship, was named Player of the Year a third time and selected as the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player again. That 2016 Thomas More squad is one of just two to hold the No. 1 ranking from preseason through the national time game.
