Salve Regina has won all three meetings in the series with the smallest margin of victory at 22 points. Seahawks defeated the Lynx, 85-63, at Keene, N.H., on Nov. 17, 2007, and the following year added an 86-51 triumph in Newport on Dec. 6, 2008.
Three Stars of the Game
1 – Salve Regina junior Nicholas Bates (Danvers, Mass.) - recorded a double-double with game highs in points (15) and rebounds (14).
2 – Salve Regina senior Barrett Hanlon (Hopkinton, Mass.) - scored 14 points and added three assists, three steals, all in the first half.
3 – Salve Regina sophomore Rodney Morton (Malden, Mass.) - made six of eight shots from the floor including two 3-pointers to finish with 14 points. He also added three assists.
Key Stat of the Game
Salve Regina never trailed in the game. Game was tied for 1:50 while the Seahawks led the remaining 38:10 of the contest.
Sophomore Bryce Boggs (Hyde Park, Mass.) scored the game's first basket with 18:10 left on the first half clock. The Seahawks enjoyed a 15-2 run started by an old-fashioned three-point play from Hanlon with 6:06 left in the first.
- Boggs also joined his teammates in double-figure scoring (12 points) and was perfect from the line (6-for-6).
- Jacob DiDomenico (No. Providence, R.I.) and Xeo Golding (Windermere, Fla.) scored 13 points apiece for Lesley.
- DiDomenico grabbed a team-high eight rebounds for the Lynx.
- Seahawks had a season-high 18 assists from nine different players.
