Franklin Heads to Defiance on Saturday

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's basketball team hits the road for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at Defiance College on Saturday, February 6, at 4 p.m. from Defiance, Ohio.

The two teams opened HCAC play in the Spurlock Center in December with Defiance picking up a 75-65 victory.

Junior Aaron Mann (Indianapolis, Ind./Howe) is tied for the conference lead in scoring at 21.6 points per game. He scored 24 points in Wednesday's home loss to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Mann ranks third in the HCAC with seven rebounds per contest.

Senior Trae Washington (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) leads the conference with 102 assists. The guard is averaging 16.1 points per game on the season.

Junior John Beineke (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) has tallied 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per outing this winter. He is shooting 55.4 percent from the fllor.

Junior Robbie Prather (Franklin, Ind./Roncalli) rounds out the team's double-figure scoring attack at 10.4 points per game. He has made 19 of 20 free throw attempts on the season.
