Chimaechi Ekekeugbor scored 25 points and William Sixsmith drained six 3-pointers to lead the men's basketball team to an 89-65 win at York College on Friday night.

The win stretches the team's win streak to four in a row. The Bearcats have also now won their last three CUNYAC road contests by an average margin of 23.2 points.

They shot an impressive 60 percent (33-55 fg), totaled 11 3-pointers, and received 27 points from the bench to improve to 6-3 in conference play.

The Cardinals battled and managed to get as close as five (55-50) early in the second half, but a game-busting 16-3 run increased the Bearcat lead to 71-53. That was enough for the Friday night win.

William Sixsmith finished with 18 points. Allen Villar (12 rebounds) and Anthony Gibbs each had 11 points.

Ekekeugbor shot 10-14, including 3-3 from three, to finish with his 25 points.

Edwin Sainvil was tops for York with 20 points.
