The Baruch College Bearcats overcame a 15-point second-half deficit and made two keys steals in the final minute to record a 78-73 CUNYAC win at Medgar Evers College on Wednesday night.
The victory stretches the team's win streak to three games.
They will continue their busy week on Saturday 4:00 pm against York College at home as part of Athletics Alumni Day.
The visiting Bearcats found themselves down 59-44 with 12:01 left but went on a furious 16-3 run to cut the score to 62-60 with 7:28 remaining.
The Cougars managed to hold their lead throughout the next five minutes but the Bearcats took control in the final two minutes of the game as a three-point play by Adnan Bajrami gave them a 72-71 advantage.
Jonathan Grimsley hit a jumper to take back the lead at 73-72, but the Bearcats, on key steals by Bajrami and Michael Richards, ended the game by scoring the final six points to record the win at Cougars Cave.
Bajrami scored 29 points and Richards finished with 11 for the double-figure scorers. Ryan Graziano scored all eight of his points in the second half
Overall, the team received scoring from nine different players.
Keison McIntosh led the way for the home team with 24 points (8-16 3fg).
