MAHWAH, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (5-10, 1-7 NJAC) was defeated, 112-72, by Ramapo (12-3, 6-2 NJAC) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) road game Jan. 15.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- William Paterson trailed early before going on a 12-6 run with 11:43 on the clock in the first half to pull within two (28-26). However, over the final 7:03 of the stanza, the Roadrunners shot 11-of-15 (.733) from the field and outscored the Pioneers, 30-15, to take a 17-point lead (58-41) into the half.
- Ramapo continued to build on its lead in the second half before securing the home win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Senior David Martinez scored a team-high 20 points on 7-of-14 (.500) shooting with three rebounds and two assists.
- Senior Neftali Valentin dropped 17 points with five boards and three assists.
- Senior Andre Wells logged an 11-point outing with three rebounds and a pair of assists.
- Freshman Delani Hyde corralled eight boards to pair with five points.
