William Paterson Men's Basketball Bested by No. 12 Montclair State

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (4-3, 0-2 NJAC) fell, 102-75, at No. 12 Montclair State (6-0, 2-0 NJAC) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game Dec. 3.    

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • William Paterson trailed by 19 (72-53) with 12 minutes left to play before a jumper by sophomore Jianni Moran sparked a 13-6 run to make it a 12-point contest.
  • The Pioneers were outscored 24-9 the rest of the way and the Red Hawks secured the 102-75 home win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Junior Fred Orock Jr. shot 8-of-9 (.889) from the floor for a season-high 16 points while adding three boards, two blocks and an assist.
  • Sophomore Delanie Hyde scored 12 points on 6-of-8 (.750) shooting.
  • Senior Ethan Paul and sophomore Jack Gobel contributed 10 points apiece.
  • Senior Cam Reyes logged eight points, six rebounds and three steals.
  • Freshman Ty'Shawn Pearson reeled in a team-best eight boards, adding four points and a pair of assists.
