CSC Academic All-District Release
AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025-26 Men's Basketball Academic All-District teams with three University of Redlands men's basketball players earning the honor.
Derek Sangster earns the honor in his first season with the Bulldogs. In year one he averaged 10.8 points and 4.7 rebounds with 30 steals and 15 blocks. He is a business administration major and plans to play professionally after his senior season.
Lucas Gordon earns the selection for the third consecutive season, and he is a finalist for CSC Academic All-America consideration with honorees announced on April 14. It would be a third All-American honor along with his D3hoops.com and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) honors. He finished the season averaging 14.3 points and nine rebounds and tallied 36 steals and 31 blocks. He is a business administration major and plans to pursue basketball opportunities overseas before starting his own construction company.
Jake Hlywiak ends his Bulldog career with two selections in as many seasons. He averaged 13.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. He finished with 85 made threes, the eighth-most in single-season program history. He is pursuing his MBA in finance and plans to become a financial advisor or coach basketball players looking to play collegiately.
