Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball Cougars fell to the Hunter College Hawks 78-30 on Monday January 28, 2013. The Hawks improved to 7-12 Overall and 6-5 CUNYAC while the Cougars dropped to 0-20 Overall and 0-11 CUNYAC.

Freshman Guard Nia Tompkins led the game with 20pts. Tompkins grabbed 3 rebounds, added an assist, and tallied 4 blocks.

Hunter in the win was led by Dimitra Thomopoulos with 19pts. Four other Hawks scored in double digits, with Nicole Lenard scoring 15pts, Kristen Sells with 11pts, Melinde Seide and Ayanna Hudson with 10pts a piece.

The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday January 30, 2013 , when they travel to Brooklyn College and play the rival Bulldogs. Game time is 6pm and can be seen live on http://ustream.tv/channel/mecathletics.
