KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College women's basketball team hosted Nazareth University on Friday in their second conference meeting of the season and lost 76-54.
Mary Cotter (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) led the Wolves in scoring with 14 points. Brooke Burd (Canisteo, N.Y./Canisteo-Greenwood) and Lillian Mullen (Canisteo, N.Y./Canisteo-Greenwood) each contributed 11 points on the day.
Nazareth University 76 vs Keuka College 54
Nazareth University (19-4, 13-1 Empire 8) opened the game on a 6-0 run, capitalizing on two early turnovers by Keuka College (9-13, 4-10 Empire 8). Mary Cotter answered with a layup to put the Wolves on the board. Keuka kept it close and trailed 16-10 at the end of the first quarter despite committing five turnovers.
The Golden Flyers began the second quarter with a 7-0 run before Brooke Burd made a pair of free throws to halt the spurt. The Wolves did not make a field goal until four minutes into the quarter, when Lillian Mullen connected on a 3-pointer. Nazareth maintained control in the period, scoring nine points off turnovers. Keuka trailed 40-21 at halftime.
The Wolves opened the second half in foul trouble, committing five fouls in the first 2:30 of the third quarter. Cotter tried to spark Keuka, scoring eight points in the period, including back-to-back 3-pointers midway through the quarter. The Wolves tightened up defensively late in the third, holding the Golden Flyers scoreless over the final four minutes and closing the quarter on a 13-0 run.
Nazareth regained control early in the fourth quarter with a 15-6 run over the first five minutes. Keuka was unable to mount a large enough run to cut into the deficit as the Golden Flyers secured a 76-54 victory.

- After getting a block against the Golden Flyers, Cotter moved to tied tenth all-time in career blocks with 46
- With one block, Brooke Burd moved to fifth all-time in blocks in a season with 33 and sixth all-time in blocks in a career with 56
- The Golden Flyers finished with 20 points off turnovers
