January 8, 2019 Spellman hits game-winner with 2.5 seconds left, Bates men's basketball defeats Thomas College 75-73 Junior Jeff Spellman backed down his defender and scored in the paint with 2.5 seconds left in the game to give the Bates men's basketball team a 75-73 victory over Thomas College Tuesday night at Alumni Gymnasium.

January 30, 2018 Hummel leads Bates men's basketball to 76-67 win at Maine-Farmington Junior Max Hummel scored a career-high 28 points on 11-15 shooting and sophomore Tom Coyne added 13 points off the bench to lead the Bates men's basketball team to a 76-67 victory Tuesday night at Maine-Farmington.
January 27, 2018 Bates men's basketball overcomes slow start, beats Connecticut College 69-56 The Bates men's basketball team missed its first 15 field goal attempts on Saturday against Connecticut College. Then the Bobcats caught fire to beat the Camels 69-56 behind 17 points apiece from sophomore Jeff Spellman and junior Max Hummel.
