January 2, 2019 No. 7 MIT Defeats WPI, 74-44, in NEWMAC Opener Overcoming a slow start, the No. 7 MIT men’s basketball team opened NEWMAC play with a 74-44 home win over WPI on Wednesday night at Rockwell Cage. MIT has now won 11 straight games overall and the last seven meetings with WPI.
December 13, 2018 No. 8 MIT Moves to 10-1 After 84-64 Road Win Over Bridgewater State Paced by a career-high 25 points from sophomore Ian Hinkley (Raleigh, N.C.) and a 23-point, 12-rebound double-double by senior Tim Roberts (Oak Bluffs, Mass.), the No. 8 MIT men’s basketball team defeated Bridgewater State in an 84-64 final on Thursday night. The game marks the final contest of the first semester for the Engineers.
December 8, 2018 No. 9 MIT Defeats Fitchburg State, 89-55, To Improve To 8-1 Led by four players in double figures, the No. 9 ranked MIT men’s basketball ran its winning streak to eight as the Engineers defeated Fitchburg State by an 89-55 final on Saturday afternoon.
