Dernbach returns to Stevens Point
April 27, 2023Kent Dernbach, who was an assistant coach at UW-Stevens Point for their final men's basketball national title, will return to take over the program after the end of the Bob Semling administration. -

NCAA finally closes the Stevens Point case
February 05, 2019Twenty-five months ago, UW-Stevens Point suspended head men's basketball coach Bob Semling for the remainder of the 2016-17 season, and even that was the second self-imposed punishment the school handed down for violations which occurred in 2015. Now, nearly three and a half years later, the long process has finally come to a conclusion. -

La Crosse names Dernbach interim coach
October 03, 2017UW-La Crosse selected Stevens Point assistant Kent Dernbach as its interim head coach. He was the Pointers' interim head coach during Bob Semling's suspension related to the NCAA's investigation of program violations related to out-of-season practices. -
