February 17, 2015 Western New England's Dorothy O’Neill Tabbed CCC Rookie of the Week for Fourth Time SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--For the fourth time this season, Western New England women's basketball student-athlete Dorothy O'Neill (Staten Island, N.Y./St. John Villa Academy) has been selected the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. The freshman point guard also was named on Jan. 18, Nov. 23 and Nov. 17.
December 9, 2014 Chelsea Vujs Tabbed CCC Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, Named to NEWBA Honor Roll SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Western New England University junior guard/forward Chelsea Vujs (Berlin, Conn.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Basketball co-Player of the Week. This marks the first time that Vujs has received the conference's top weekly honor.

November 18, 2014 Golden Bears Stun Springfield College After Trailing by 22 Points in the Second Half SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Western New England used a strong bench to fuel a historic second-half comeback to defeat crosstown rival Springfield College, 68-63, in non-conference women's basketball action at the Alumni Healthful Living Center field house on Tuesday. The Pride, who are the defending champions in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference, lose in their season opener, while the Golden Bears improve to 2-1 after their home debut and #Play4Jody Cause game.
January 11, 2014 Alicia Lewis' Late 3-Pointer Completes Furious Comeback Western New England Win over Eastern Nazarene SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Newcomer Alicia Lewis drained a 3-point field goal with 25 seconds left in the game as Western New England capped a come-from-behind 56-54 victory over Eastern Nazarene in Commonwealth Coast Conference women's basketball action on Saturday at the Alumni Healthful Living Center. The Golden Bears even their record both overall (6-6) and in the conference (3-3), while the visiting Lions slip to 4-9 on the season and 0-6 in the CCC.
November 15, 2013 Western New England Women Overcome Double-Digit Deficit to Trip Up Host Skidmore SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.--Senior Shaylyn Sicard recorded her first career double-double, and senior Ali Pessolano and sophomore Chelsea Vujs scored a team-high 14 points apiece, as Western New England won its season opener on Friday over the host Thoroughbreds, 64-52, in the Skidmore College Classic in non-conference women's basketball action at the Williamson Sports Center.
